Welcome to my blog!
Professionally I am a lay (non-clergy) staff member of a small to middle size Episcopal church. I am in charge of the formation of our littlest members all the way to are most seasoned. I am always looking for ways to help people create space to know God. Whether this is through an activity, a lesson, a bible study, a conversation or even a question. Being formed by God does not just happen in the hour and a half you are at church. Going throughout your everyday life, you are constantly being formed by God and God’s creation. Part of our job as God’s people is to recognize it and then to respond to it.
Personally, I am a wife to a wonderful high school math teacher and mother to 2 active little boys. I love to cook and bake and eat! I am also involved with the Avon Walk to End Breast Cancer in Washington DC. I have crewed for the walk with my mom for 8 years. I am an avid Orioles baseball fan (yes, I live in MD). And when I have a moment to myself, I enjoy yoga. With two active loud little boys, quiet time is at a premium. But it is when I am in the car by myself or for those moments when both of the boys are napping at the same time, that I find God is speaking most clearly to me.
